A volunteership scheme by Ministry of Youth Affairs And Sports to tap the potential of the disciplined and dedicated youth In the age group of 18 to 29 years who have the inclination and spirit to engage in nation building exercises, to serve up to two years in Nation Building activities for which they would receive a monthly honorarium of Rs- 5000/- .
Each NYV is required to be IT Savvy. Further NYVs should have the capability of preparing report/documentation of youth program and upload online. NYC should also know about preparing reports for media/news statement. Each NYV should know the using of required mobile Apps (for example Digidhan, Digital India etc).
The NYC Scheme is being implemented by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS).

- The applicant must be between 18 - 29 years of age.
- The applicant must have passed Class 10th.
कौन आवेदन नहीं कर सकता
- Students who have enrolled themselves as a regular students are not eligible for deployment under the scheme, keeping in view of the nature of their full time assignment.

OfflineThe online application form is available on www.nyks.nic.in After successful submission of online application form, an Application number is generated automatically and displayed on the screen which should be noted for future reference.

Is honorarium also provided the volunteers who serve on part-time basis?
No, the volunteers are need to be full-time in order to receive honorarium under this scheme.
Is the honorarium provided as a lump sum or on monthly basis?
The honorarium is ₹ 5000 per volunteer and is provided on monthly basis.
What would be the mode of payment of the honorarium?
The honorarium will either be paid in cash or paid online.
How many volunteers are deployed every year under this scheme?
Every year, a total of 12,000 volunteers shall be deployed at the block level in the country.I am a 27 year old full-time student studying in 2nd year.
Am i eligible to apply?
Students who have enrolled themselves as a regular students are not eligible for deployment under the scheme, keeping in view of the nature of their full time assignment.
Is there a percentage of slots reserved for girl students?
Yes, 50:50 gender ratios should be maintained to the extent possible under this scheme.
Is there a reservation for SC / ST?
There is no reservation as such but participation of weaker sections such as SC/ST community will be encouraged.
Is there any application fee?
No. The entire application process is completely free of cost.
Where do I find the format of the application form?
The format can be found in Annexure-I of the scheme guidelines.I have successfully submitted the application form online.
What are the next steps?
If shortlisted, the applicant is required to bring the filled in application form along with all relevant documents in original as well as photocopy and two recent passport size photographs at the time of interview, if shortlisted.
How do I know if a field in the application form is mandatory?
The mandatory fields have a red asterisk (*) mark at the end.
