The scheme "Financial assistance to Women and Girls Acid Attack Victims” was introduced by the Social Justice & Empowerment Department of the Govt. of Haryana on 26th Feb 20
9. Any woman or girl victim/s facing an acid attack residing in the State of Haryana is eligible for financial benefit in this scheme. Financial Assistance will be given from the current date after she has applied for the financial assistance under the scheme. "Acid Attack Victim” here means a woman or girl who has suffered disfigurement of any part of the body or has become disabled due to an acid attack or similar corrosive substance.

- Financial assistance would be admissible to the acid attack victim at the rate of pension under the scheme Divyang Pension as decided by the Govt. from time to time applicable from the month on which the application for claim of financial assistance is submitted.
- Percentage of Disability: 40-50%Financial Assistance: 2.5 times of Divyang Pension
- Percentage of Disability: 51-60%Financial Assistance: 3.5 times of Divyang Pension
- Percentage of Disability: > 61%Financial Assistance: 4.5 times of Divyang pension
कौन आवेदन कर सकता है
- The applicant must be a woman or a girl.
- The applicant must have suffered disfigurement of any part of the body OR has become disabled due to an acid attack or similar corrosive substance.
- The acid attack must have been on or after 2nd May 20
- 1.
- The applicant must be a resident of Haryana and shall have been residing in Haryana for at least 3 years prior to the date on which the acid attack took place.

- A girl / Woman who has self-inflicted the acid injuries made advertently or inadvertently is not eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.

Offline
An application may be filed either by the victim or by her heir claiming on her behalf in cases where the victim herself is unable to make an application. The victim herself, her parents, or her legal heirs may apply to the District Social Welfare Officer for relief.
In the case of a minor victim, the application may be made on her behalf by a parent or guardian. In the case of the victim being a married woman, the application may be made on her behalf by her husband or parent, or guardian. The duly filled application form along with the self- attested copies of the required documents must be submitted to the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO).
